Hello!, this is a complete guide to the maximum FPS you can possibly get and I can guarantee you following this guide will boost your FPS majority. Note: Even if you have a good PC and your FPS is always at 60+ FPS you should follow this guide, or at least the last part of it since it's the best part of this whole guide. LAUNCH OPTIONS IMPORTANT: Do not allocate all of your ram as this will reverse what we are trying to accomplish. First in your Minecraft launcher got to Installations and click on the version you want to play. Now you are going to want to click on it and click more options here you will see beneath "VERSION" something saying JVM ARGUMENTS. Before I go any further you are going to want to know how much your Computer/Laptop has, once you know this what you want to do is remove the number 2 and put half the number of your ram. (Example) My ram is 16gb I will put 8gb. As I said mine would be 8gb because I have 16gb of ram. If this doesnt work you can always reset it by clicking on the reset button next to JVM ARGUMENTS. MINECRAFT SETTINGS Here what you are going to want to do is enter into your video settings and copy this list. VIDEO SETTINGS Graphics: Fast Smooth Lighting: Off Smooth Lighting Level: OFF GUI Scale: Normal Brightness: Personal preference (Choose whatever you want) Fog: Off 3D Anaglyph: Off Render Distance: 4 - 8 Max Framerate: Unlimited Use VBOs: OFF Alternate Blocks: ON (Doesn't really matter) Fog Start: 0.2 / Off DETAILS SETTINGS Clouds: Off Trees: Fast Sky: Off Sun & Moon: On Translucent Blocks: Fast Dropped items: Fast Cloud Height: 100% Rain & Snow: Off Stars: On ANIMATIONS SETTINGS Hit the 'All OFF' button in the bottom left hand of your Minecraft launcher. If you think you can handle this enable "Fire Animated" "Flame Animted" "Potion Particles" and set particles to "Decreased" (Shouldn't lower your FPS heavily) PERFORMANCE SETTINGS Fast Math: Off Load Far: Off Chunk Updates: 1 (Higher FPS) or 2 ( Lower FPS) Fast Render: On Smooth World: On Preloaded Chunks: Off Dynamic Updates: Off Lazy Chunk Loading: On DISABLING SIDEBAR/SCOREBOARD MOD(MAJOR FPS BOOST)+OPTIFINE Download Optifine and put it in the mods folder after download forge.(Link to OPTIFINE WEBSITE https://optifine.net/downloads ) Optifine is a client add-on to Minecraft that allows you to disable many visual effects that you wouldn't normally be able to do with the default Minecraft client. Using Optifine is a major key if you're really looking to boost your FPS.) Doing this step will boost your FPS dramatically and is the main focus of this guide, I highly suggest for EVERYONE to do this even if you have a beast PC as this will give you not only a huge FPS boost, it will also give your game-play a smooth feel. So, how do you disable the sidebar/scoreboard and what even is that? This is the scoreboard/sidebar These are the links of the mod to both 1.7.10 and 1.8.9 1.7.10- http://xterca.net/-12OIYG/AAV9?rndad=1543780118-1564589324 1.8.9- http://xterca.net/-12QTSD/AAV8?rndad=1543780118-1564589353 Once you've downloaded the Sidebar Mod and put it in your mods folder type in chat /sidebarmod and simply turn off the display. Clients such as Badlion Client, Cheatbreaker, Lunar Client, Cosmic Client and PvPLounge are all great FPS Boosting clients and they offer the best PvP mods built in the client such as "ArmorStatus" however only the Badlion Client and Cheatbreaker allow for the Sidebar to be removed. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR READING AND I HOPE THIS GUIDE WILL IMPROVE YOUR FPS. (ANY QUESTIONS LEAVE BELOW)
Recording will ultimately reduce fps. There is no exact fix for this but a good option could be using gamebar. This is from xbox and it usely doesnt effect frames.
I have just made another thread addressing ping issues here is the link https://coldnetwork.net/threads/better-ping-guide.30233/
Yes but it doesnt allow me to record while on fullscreen and when I'm not on fullscreen my fps is shit
VBOS helps to boost FPS on majority of cases, turning it OFF makes no sense for me. It's a good guide anyways. By the way the most epic, trustful and secret key to boost your FPS was, is and always will be getting a gaming PC.
Very true XD. The ram and video ram is very useful but 6gb of ram is fine and 2-4gb video ram is very good. Anymore thn 4gb of video ram is overkill
