[TIPS] Hardcore Factions Guide

HCF: HCF also known as Hardcore Factions is a fork of the popular factions gametype. HCF tends to be more competitive then normal factions. HCF has many unique features listed below. Maps usually last 4 weeks - month before they
reset. But here in ColdNetwork They Last about 2 years.

• DTR: (Deaths Till Raidable): Whenever you die and you are in a faction you lose 1 DTR. Once you get below zero, you're raidable. People can steal your items and destroy your base but not claim over it. You also regenerate DTR overtime so you won't be raidable forever.

Deathbans & Lives: Once you die, instead of respawning like factions you will be death-banned for 2 hours. During this time you won't be allowed to connect to that server. If you have a life or a rank you can bypass the deathban or your deathban might be shorter. (Buy ranks or lifes here: www.ColdNetwork.net/store/ )

Crate-Keys: You can win events like Conquest and KoTH's for Crate-Keys but you can always purchase them on the shop. You can open Crate-Keys by right clicking crates and you will receive some helpful items.

PVP Timer - A 60 minute immunity from PvP. With the Immunity you can't take damage or die from other players.

F Home - Once you get a claim you can set a F-home. If you aren't within 100 blocks of a player you will have a 10 second timer. Once it reaches 0 you will be TPed to wherever you set your f home (In your claim of course). You can't F-home in enemy territory.

Kits: In HCF they are usually 3 different times of Kits (Archer, Bard & Miner). You will be given different effects based on the Kit.

• Archer (Requires full leather set) - Speed 3, Resistance 3. Ability to do alot more damage with bows.
• Bard (Requires full golden set) - Speed 2, Resistance 2, Regeneration . Ability to give different effects to your faction when you click on different materials. (You can only give your faction effects when you get a certain amount of Energy)
• Miner (Requires full iron set) - Night Vision 2, Haste 2, Fire Resistance. Shows the number of diamonds mined on the scoreboard. When you reach a certain amount of diamonds mined your effects will increase.

Events: HCF includes all different types of fun events where you can win prizes and rewards. Events like KoTH's can be daily or weekly. To view the coords to these events simply type ./coords.

• Glowstone Mountain:Glowstone Mountain is found in the nether where you can "farm" glowstone. This event doesn't require any cap zones and is simple there just to help you. The Glowstone will reset every 45 minutes.
• KoTH (King Of The Hill): A KoTH is a pre-built platform which you must stand on for a certain amount of time to "capture it". Once captured you will receive a KoTH key which you can use to open up a KoTH Crate and get rewards. KoTHs usually run daily.
• Conquest: A Conquest is a weekly event where you must capture different cap zones. You must achieve 300 points to capture the conquest. The Main Capture point is worth 2 points while the outer cap zones are only worth 1. Once you capture conquest you will get a Conquest key which you can open at spawn. The loot is usually better then KoTH loot.

HCF Terms:

• SOTW: This stands for Start Of The World. Your faction has a 3 hour SOTW timer to get ores and create a base. PvP is not enabled during this time
• LFF: This stands for Looking For Faction. This is when a player joins and doesn't have a faction but wants to join one. He usually includes his skills in the message. Example: LFF, 9/10 PvP 6/10 Builder I don't quickdrop!
• Farm: Usually refers to when you are getting some materials
• Focus: When you are fighting and you need to target a specific person
• Kite/Kiting : Refers to when you are going back to your base or a certain location
• Power Faction: A rather large and strong faction. This depends on the faction size and other factors
• EOTW: This stands for End Of The World. All factions becomes raidable and you fight till the death and there is one man left. There is a EOTW KoTH going on and after it is captured you will be TPed to a arena. The winner usually gets a rank or keys. After EOTW, the map resets ————————— MoonLights.
